Miners with gold and silver assets in Mexico and Central America boosted reserves and resources in recent months.

The increases were achieved through a combination of exploration successes and acquisitions. Pan American Silver announced a sharp rise in silver and gold reserves in September, reflecting the acquisition of Tahoe Resources in February, BN Américas reports.
