Minimum wage in Honduras set at $300 a month for medium-size companies

The government of Honduras approved a long-awaited increase for the country’s minimum wage, which wis set in accordance by the region of the country and the size of each company’s workforce. Bureaucrats were also given a raise.

The increases will be backdated to Septmber 1 of this year, for both the state and private sectors.

For an average-size company, with a workforce of 20 to 50, the minimum wage will be set at $300 a month.
