Mining exports earn Honduras $230 million a year thanks to high world prices of gold
Monday, December 19, 2011

The mining industry in Honduras will close the year with a record $230 million in exports, according to the industry chamber, Anaminh.
Last year, metals exports came to $197.4 million.
The increase is due to the substantial increase in gold prices that has more than offset the reduction in production.
