Money for health: Costa Rica

Costa Rica is first in Central America and fourth in the Americas in terms of investment in health, according to a Bloomberg report published last week.

Costa Rica annually invests $661 per person on health and nutrition activities, surpassed only by the United States, Canada and Uruguay.

Panama was second in the region and tenth in the hemisphere, while Nicaragua was last both in Central America and overall.

The United States topped the list, while XXX came last in the hemisphere (figures reflect the position of each Central American country in the ranking).
