Moody's maintains Guatemala's rating

Moody's Investors Service maintained Guatemala's rating at Ba1, with a stable outlook.
The company cited the country's macroeconomic stability as the main reason to keep its rating.
Earlier this year, Fitch cut Guatemala's rating one notch to BB with a stable outlook, saying the country's efforts to improve its fiscal system and boost the economy were insufficient.
