Moody's raises Panama bond rating by a notch

Moody's Investors Service upgraded Panama's bond rating a notch, noting the quick pace of its economic growth.

The ratings firm rates the government of Panama at Baa2, two notches into investment grade. The outlook was revised to stable from positive.

Moody's noted that Panama's economy has the highest growth rate in Latin America, enjoying an average pace of 7.3 percent growth in the past decade.
