NASA unveils the power of a massive drought in Costa Rica

NASA's Ecostress system has imaged the stress on Costa Rican vegetation caused by a massive regional drought that led the government to declare a state of emergency on July 23.
In Costa Rica, more intense drought conditions, shown in red, are centered on the province of Guanacaste, NASA reports.
