NDC is latest US firm to join growth of medical plants in Costa Rica

Nitinol Devices & Components (NDC), a US manufacturer of medical devices is to open a plant in Costa Rica with a $3.5 million investment.

The US-based firm makes “guide wires” used by specialists for the placement of devices within the human body.

The new plant in Costa Rica will be larger even than the company’s headquarters in California.
