Netherlands-based APM Terminals wins Costa Rica $1 billion port concession

The long-awaited privatisation of Costa Rica’s Puerto Limon-Moin has resulted in APM Terminals being awarded a 33-year concession to operate Moin Container Terminal.
Despite criticism of the privatisation process as painfully slow, the port is a major prize for the Netherlands-headquartered terminal operator.
The investment required is almost $1 billion.
