Netherlands eyes Nicaragua water projects

A group of Dutch investors met with Nicaraguan authorities to explore the possibilities of investing in water projects and the inter-oceanic canal.
Twelve investors, led by Dutch ambassador in Nicaragua Mette Gonggrip, met with Nicaraguan government representatives and the inter-oceanic canal commission in a first meeting aimed at learning more about the canal, as well as exchange information regarding companies and institutions.
Nicaragua's planned canal is expected to cost $40 billion, according to official figures.
