New car sales in Mexico grow 9 percent

Sales of new cars in Mexico grew 9 percent during the first five months of the year, compared to the same period last year.

The figure represents 87,500 new cars sold, while year-on-year sales reached 1.2 million, according to the country's car industry authorities.

Nissan, Honda, General Motors and Volkswagen sell five of the 10 most popular cars in Mexico.
