New Guatemalan leader faces up his first crisis

The Guatemalan minister of Communications, Sherry Ordóñez, resigned only 11 days since the new government took office, President Jimmy Morales announced, as he confronts his first crisis.

“The minister resigned for personal reasons,” Morales told journalists. He said she had all the qualities needed for the job and her resignation was beyond his control.
