New Panama Canal slated to earn $2.9 billion

The proposed annual budget for the new expanded Panama Canal forecasts earnings of $2.9 billion against operational costs of $1 billion.

The minister for Canal Affairs, Roberto Roy, told the National Assembly that the proposal would mean a government take of $1.6 billion.
