New port set to increase Costa Rica's efficiency

The new container port of Moín, Costa Rica, will be cost-efficient and environmentally friendly, said Nils Andersen, director of Moller-Maersk, parent company of ATP Terminals.

ATP Terminals is the company in charge of the project, and plans to increase Costa Rica's trade efficiency, particularly in agricultural products, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The new port will focus on larger vessels, while smaller ships will continue to use the current Limón terminal, Andersen said.
