Nicaragua aims for 10 percent increase in tourism

Nicaragua could end the year with a 10 percent increase in tourism, compared to the 6 percent predicted at the beginning of the year.
"There was an 11 percent growth between January and September this year, which could lead to ending the year with a double-digit growth", said the Tourism minister, Mario Salinas.
Salinas attributes the increase in tourism to the campaigns promoting the country as a safe destination.
