Nicaragua aims for $450 million a year from tourism amid 6 percent growth this year

The Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism (Intur) plans to increase tourism to Nicaragua by up to 6 percent this year.
The institute aims to increase average daily spending by tourists and the length of their stay. The aim is to reach $450 million in revenue from tourism.
If these aims are achieved, Nicaragua become Central America's number three tourist destination, after Costa Rica and Panama.
