Nicaragua aims to modernize its poultry industry

Thursday, March 14, 2013

Nicaragua's poultry industry, which accounts for 3.5 percent of the economy, has modernized its plants in order to face competition.

The aim, according to Anapa, the industry association, is to offer the cheapest egg and poultry prices in Central America.

"At present, Nicaragua has plenty of eggs and chicken at very attractive prices," said Donald Tuckler, general manager of Anapa.
