Nicaragua asks for revision of accord with Panama
Friday, August 9, 2013
Nicaragua's meat industry asked the country's Ministry of Trade to propose a revision of the free trade agreement with Panama.
The aim is to expand Nicaragua's beef quota for Panama it has under the agreement.
Currently, the accord states Nicaragua can send 1,500 tons per year, an amount considered well below the country's potential, said the Nicaraguan Private Enterprise Council.
