Nicaragua Canal means business for Costa Rica

Nicaragua's $40-billion inter-oceanic canal project presents a business opportunity for Costa Rican firms.

The project would benefit mostly engineering and construction companies, as well as technicians, due to Nicaragua's lack of qualified workforce, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

Countries such as Russia and the UK have expressed interest in taking part in the Nicaraguan project, however, there are still concerns over the complexity and financing of the waterway.
