Nicaragua-Chile accord to be ready in three months

A free trade accord between Chile and Nicaragua is expected to come into force within three months.

The accord has been ratified by legislators in both countries. Procedural measures are expected to be finalized by the end of the year.

The importance of the treaty is that Chile can be a springboard to Asia for Nicaraguan exports, Nicaraguan officials say.
