Friday, October 10, 2014
Nicaragua's garment exports reached $996 million from January to August this year, according to the country's textile industry association.
The figure shows a 6.9 percent growth compared with the same period last year.
The Nicaraguan government and garment sector are currently battling to extend a preferential tariff agreement with the U.S, as some 20,000 jobs depend on the accord.
