Nicaragua flies high as a tourism destination

Nicaragua is having a moment as a destination. Delta is starting direct nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Managua starting June 5, with a seasonal five-hour flight.

And a new airport, Aeropuerto Costa Esmeralda, is opening on Nicaragua's Pacific Coast in late 2015. The airport is expected to serve private jets and connects from Managua and Costa Rica.
