Nicaragua forecasts $5 billion in exports this year

Nicaragua's traditional and textile exports will generate a combined total of $5 billion this year, according to official forecasts.

The figure is set to surpass last year's exports which totaled $4.7 billion.

More investment in the country's free trade zones will help boost textile exports to $2.5 billion this year, and the same amount for traditional exports, according to Álvaro Baltodano, president of the Nicaraguan investment promotion agency, ProNicaragua.
