Nicaragua home to five of the best microcredit firms

Five of Latin America's top 100 microfinance institutions are in Nicaragua, a study by the Inter-American Development Bank showed.

Of the five firms in Nicaragua, the best was ProMujer, followed by the Fundación para la Promoción y Desarrollo.

In the Latin American region, ProMujer was the second best in terms of the quality of its assets.
