Nicaragua in talks on new accord with Monetary Fund

Nicaragua has launched talks with the International Monetary Fund for a new financial aid package.

The amount of the aid could be similar to the previous package, which expired last year, Nicaragua had with the IMF for $120 million, said the president of the Central Bank, Alberto Guevara.

The package aims to reform the country's tax system, as well as making changes to the social security pensions.
