Nicaragua lags behind in cruise ship tourism

The number of cruise ships making port calls in Nicaragua has dropped 35 percent in the last five years.

But the number of tourists who travel on cruises has increased by 20 percent.

However, Nicaragua is at the bottom of the list of countries in the region in terms of cruise tourism income, estimated at $2 million by consultancy company BREA.
