Nicaragua lags Central America in open trade

Nicaragua is the Central American country least open to trade in the region, according to the World Economic Forum's Global Enabling Trade Report 2012.

The report takes into account the measures taken by 132 countries' government and private enterprise sectors to enable trade.

In the region, Costa Rica and Panama are at the top, while Chile and Uruguay are the leaders in Latin America.
