Nicaragua leads growth in economic freedom

Nicaragua is number 36 among the world’s nations in terms of economic freedom, according to Canada’s Fraser Institute.

In 1990, Nicaragua ranked number 111, according to the institute, with 2.92 points from a possible 10. Now it has improved more than any other Central American country. Its current rating is 7.44 points.
