Nicaragua plans $381 million in investment of renewables

Nicaragua announced an ambitious plan to provide electricity for almost two million people who live in the countryside.
 
The electricity will take the form of renewables, such as wind, water, sun and biofuels.
 
The program will involve investments of $381 million to be backed by loans from the Inter-American Development bank and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration.
