Nicaragua plans to develop eco-tourism sector

Nicaragua will promote eco-tourism in an attempt to diversify the country's tourism offer, said sector representatives.

The tourism authorities are looking for similar results as seen by Costa Rica in that sector.

Among Nicaragua's strong points are its potential to develop natural parks, said Alvarado Herrera, former director of Costa Rica's tourism institute.
