Nicaragua poised for talks on Fund with $78 million

The government of Nicaragua and the International Monetary Fund will continue talks this week on the release of $78 million in funds for this year.

The Fund’s technical mission will arrive today and tomorrow with the aim of beginning the talks on Thursday.

The result of the negotiations depend on the Fund freeing $36 million and providing a guarantee for $42 million for the Inter-American Development Bank.
