Nicaragua's bean sales hit $24 million in six months

Nicaragua's exports of beans reached $24 million in the first half of the year, an increase of 140 percent on the same period of last year.

In 2008, Nicaragua set an $80 million record in bean exports.

Last year, however, the total came to $30 million.
