Nicaragua's exports grow 8 percent

Nicaragua's exports reached $1.85 billion in the first eight months of the year, according to the country's exports authority, Cetrex.

The figure represents an 8 percent increase compared with the $1.72 billion from the same period last year.

The U.S. remains Nicaragua's top export destination, with 27 percent of the total, followed by Venezuela with 13 percent and Canada with 10 percent.
