Nicaragua's industry grows 5.2 percent

Nicaragua's industrial production grew 5.2 percent during this year's second quarter, according to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, Eclac.

The number is an improvement compared to the 0.7 percent registered for the same period last year.

The central bank of Nicaragua attributed the growth to a higher demand for energy, which in turn is a result of more dynamic free trade zones.
