Nicaragua’s textile exports increase during first quarter by 23 percent year on year

The Nicaraguan Association of the Textile and Apparel Industry announced that Nicaragua exceeded its projections of textile and apparel exports during the first quarter of 2011, reaching $272.09 million, an increase of 23.3 percent on the same period of 2010.

In regards to volume, the industry experienced a growth of 25.3 percent.

In 2010, Nicaragua became the 12th largest worldwide apparel supplier to the US in volume.
