Nicaraguan textiles exports rose 15 percent to $950 million in 2010, thanks to recovery in US demand and the country's ability to sell new products in the market.
Exports grew in what was decidedly a recovery year due to a strengthening US consumption.
Nicaragua also benefited from a scheme to boost the industry's competitiveness that saw a greater effort by manufacturers to introduce new value-added products to the US market.
