Nicaragua seeks bids for 4G mobile Internet service

Nicaragua aims to issue a cellular technology tender for the supply of broadband and 4G services.
The aim is to broaden the country's cellular phone market, currently dominated by Mexico's Claro and Spain's Movistar.
China's Xinwei has already expressed interest in Nicaragua's cellular phone market, offering investments of up to $800 million if it wins the bid. Nicaragua currently has six million active lines.
