Nicaragua seeks to triple banana production

Nicaragua expects to triple its banana production to reach 8 million boxes a year.

The production boost would come after Grupo Coen implements a project in the Chinandenga province.

Currently, Nicaragua produces some 2 million boxes of banana each year, one of the lowest rates in the region.
