Nicaragua sees $300 million in sales over winter period

Nicaragua is expecting sales worth $300 million this Christmas holiday season.
The commerce and services sectors together account for $1 billion in sales each year, of which 30 percent is generated between November and December, according to the president of the country's trade authority, Rosendo Mayorga.
The products with the highest volume of sales in the winter period are food and drink, garments and home appliances, said Mayorga.
