Nicaragua sees tourism growing 7.5 percent

Nicaraguan authorities are expecting the tourism sector to grow 7.5 percent this year compared with 2013.

The positive forecast comes after the sector grew 7.1 percent in the first half of 2014.

Last year, Nicaragua received 1.23 million tourists, who spent $417 million, the country's tourism institute, Intur, said.
