Nicaragua still awaits return to level of textile and apparel exports of 2008

Nicaragua’s textile industry closed the first half of the year with 12.8 percent growth. Earnings amounted to $461 million.
However, the growth is lower than it was in the first half of 2008, when $473 million was earned.
In the first half of last year, Nicaragua exported $408 million in textiles and garments.
