Nicaragua to benefit from new European tariffs

Nicaragua is among the list of 90 countries to benefit from Europe's revamped General System of Preferences, GSP.

The new system came into force this week, and lowers tariffs for least developed countries.

The GSP is a "powerful tool for the development of less-developed countries by giving preferential access to Europe's 500-million strong consumer market," said the European Union in a statement.
