Nicaragua to export $9 million a year in chicken exports to Venezuela

The government of Nicaragua reported that it aims to export 12,000 metric tons a year of chicken to Venezuela within the framework of the Venezuela-sponsored Alba trade alliance.

The first shipment of 1,000 tons of chicken, will be sent to Venezuela next month.

During the first eight months of this year, Nicaragua exported $168 million of various exports to Venezuela, an increase of $66 million in the same period a year earlier.
