Nicaragua to generate 300 megawatts of wind power with $330 million investment

Construction of seven wind parks, with 300 megawatts of power, is drawing $330 million of investment to Nicaragua.

The advantages are considerable. Oil imports will be reduced, costs will be cut and consumers are likely to few increases in tariffs.

Nicaragua is rated to be the Central American country with the greatest potential for wind power, some 800 megawatts.
