Nicaragua to host Latin American surf tournament

Nicaragua will hold the sixth Latin American surf tournament in November this year.

The tournament will receive surfers from 14 countries including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Costa Rica.

"Holding this type of event is very important as it allows us to position Nicaragua as an international surf destination," said Mayra Salinas, director of the country's tourism authority.
