Wednesday, May 25, 2011
Nicaraguan legislators approved a law to regulate casinos, gambling and slot machines, under a bill that was originally presented nine years ago.
Sixty-five of 68 legislators approved the new law after a three year debate. None opposed it.
The president of the legislature’s economic commission said that the new law would considerably boost the state’s coffers.
