Nicaragua wants India to be involved in canal

Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Samuel Santos Lopez wants Indian businessmen involved in the proposed $40 billion canal, Indian foreign ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said.
Lopez met his Indian counterpart Salman Khurshid during an official visit this week to discuss Nicaragua's plans for the canal.
Bilateral trade between the two nations stands at $60 million, largely in favour of India.
