Nicaraguan bosses and unions agree on increase of 13 percent for workers

The government, business leaders and trade unions in Nicaragua agreed an annual increase of 13 percent in the workers’ minimum wage.
In monthly terms, the minimum wage rises from $124 a month to $132 for the first half of the year, rising to $140 in the second half.
The unions had proposed an 18 percent annual increase, while the bosses had aimed for 10 percent.
