Nicaraguan coffee exports are victims of nation's crisis

Nicaragua's coffee exports have fallen by 18 percent year-on-year mainly because of disruptions caused by the political violence of recent weeks.

Traders say that some of the losses can be recouped if the the violence eases in the coming weeks. But if the troubles persist, they say that much of the damage could be irreversible.
