Nicaraguan economy grew 5 percent in 2013

Nicaragua's economy grew 5 percent last year, the region's second economy after Panama.

The rest of the Central American countries grew between 2 and 3.5 percent.

Construction is the sector which most contributes to Nicaragua's economy, and grew 15.2 percent from January to October last year, compared with the same period in 2012.
